SCIACCHETRAIL 2022: finally we start again!

After two years of stop due to the Covid19 pandemic, on April 2^nd, in the splendid territory of the Cinque Terre National Park, the Sciacchetrail will take place, a mythical ultratrail race dedicated to Sciacchetrà, the sweet wine of the Cinque Terre that attracts athletes from all over the world.

Over 800 bibs are already sold, but only 300 of these will have the good fortune to participate to the event, with the draw which was held on November 20^th at the Cantina Sociale Agricultura Cinque Terre and which will see athletes from all over Europe, as well as those from the United States, Canada and South Africa.

Over the years this 47 km foot race, which starts and finishes in Monterosso with an altitude difference of 2600 meters, with its mix of organizational effectiveness, authenticity and scenic beauty, has become a travel motivation for a type of active and respectful tourism of the international environment.

People come to the Cinque Terre to run and at the same time discover a territory that is unique in the world with its wine excellences and its local communities, with that physical and emotional involvement that only outdoor activities can give.

The message that this event wants to give to all its participants is that the maintenance of this incomparable territory, which attracts millions of tourists every year from every corner of the world, necessarily passes from the balance between man and environment, as it was in the past to ensure an eco-sustainable future.

Sciacchetrail is organized by ASD Cinque Terre and Cinque Terre Trekking with the patronage of the municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso, of the Cinque Terre National Park and in collaboration with the Pro Loco Monterosso, the Cinque Terre Consortium and the In Manarola Consortium, which we thank once again.
